Krystle Dos Santos is performing her powerful musical journey BLAK, a celebration of notable Black Canadian women in music, in a cabaret-lounge show at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on November 1 at 7:30 pm.

In BLAK, Dos Santos shares historically important stories about the underground railroad, civil rights movement, and key events in Black history while weaving in iconic songs from the eras in which these women lived and performed. Featured songs by both classical and contemporary Canadian artists span an array of genres, including spirituals, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, pop, and country.

Dos Santos is a two-time Western Canadian Music Award-winning artist. From singing with Stevie Wonder and Michael Bublé to telling Canadian civil rights icon Viola Desmond’s story in her original show Hey Viola!, Dos Santos brings magnetic charm to every performance she delivers.

Tickets and more details are at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.
