Shadbolt Centre for the Arts hosts Vancouver-based group the B3 Kings for a concert that takes place on December 8 from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.
The formation of the B3 Kings is just as legendary as their jazz music. The group first played together in a 2002 Christmas concert at Vancouver’s original underground jazz club, The Cellar. The show was so successful that the concert has now been an annual event for more than 20 years.
The quartet is anchored by Canadian vocal sensation Denzal Sinclaire, who doubles as the band’s drummer. His extraordinary talent has earned him international acclaim and praise from highly regarded musicians such as Diana Krall and Cassandra Wilson. The group also consists of The Cellar’s founder and highly praised saxophonist Cory Weeds, along with guitarist Bill Coon and organist Chris Gestrin.
