Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents The Birds and the Bees, an Arts Club Theatre Company production written by Mark Crawford, on November 2 and 3 at 7 pm.
Set in adjoining bedrooms, The Birds and the Bees is a Canadian comedy about love, lust, beekeeping, and the artificial insemination of turkeys.
Sarah, a turkey farmer, has split up with her husband and moved in with her mom Gail, who’s a beekeeper. Add in the flirty neighbour Earl, and eager young graduate student Ben, and the perfect breeding ground for unlikely attractions has been created.
Directed by Lauren Taylor, The Birds and the Bees stars Riley Hardwick as Ben, Nancy Kerr as Gail, Gerry Mackay as Earl, and Agnes Tong as Sarah. The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is the eighth stop on the production’s tour of B.C., which wraps up November 12.
