Sarah McLachlan, July Talk, Black Pumas headline 2022 Squamish Constellation Festival in July

The three-day music fest announces lineup that also features Lights, Dear Rouge, and Yukon Blonde

THE NEWS KEEPS getting better for fans of outdoor fests and live music: Squamish Constellation Festival has just announced its 2022 lineup. 

Running at Hendrickson Field from July 22 to 24, the zero-waste event has three headliners: Canadian rock icons July Talk (July 22); Austin-based psychedelic rockers and Grammy Award-nominees Black Pumas (July 23); and multi Grammy- and Juno-winning singer-songwriter Sara McLachlan (July 24). 

Also taking to the stage surrounded by stunning mountain peaks are Dear Rouge, Lights, Yukon Blonde, Moontricks, PiqSiq, Jessia, Blonde Diamond, Fake Shark, and Mauvey on July 22. 

On July 23, there’s Andy Shauf, Black Pistol Fire, Whitehorse, William Prince, Haley Blais, Hotel Mira, Ashleigh Ball, Lowdown Brass Band, Hyaenas, and Coastal Wolf Pack. 

Closing out the comeback fest on July 24 are Jarvis Church, Ocie Elliott, Terra Lightfoot, Teddy Thompson, iskwē, Daniel Wesley, Old Soul Rebel, Pharis & Jason Romero, Miesha and The Spank, Skye Wallace, and Out.

“This summer marks a welcome return for live music in British Columbia. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of Squamish Constellation Festival,” McLachlan said in a release.

New this year is an on-site camping experience and on-site parking. Also part of the experience is interactive art, local craft beverages, a signature “Flowr” garden (cannabis consumption site), artisan marketplace, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and more.

There are free local shuttles and well as shuttles to and from Vancouver and Whistler, in addition to a free bike valet.  

“Live music connects us like nothing else can and we truly cherish the opportunity to bring people together after two long years apart,” SCF partner and former Squamish mayor, Patricia Heintzman, said in the release. “More than ever this year, there is so much anticipation to reconnect and be together again. We've chosen this lineup to uplift music fans and joyously rekindle community.

“We all benefit from live music and collectively need it now more than ever,” Heintzman said. “The essence of Constellation, which brings people together in community to celebrate not only the arts, but one another, is something I deeply connect with and am proud to be a part of.”

Advance general admission weekend passes are for $285 plus taxes and fees or $450 for VIP plus taxes and fees. Layaway plans are available. Newsletter subscribers will receive a presale code for discounted passes on April 6 and 7.

Ticket sales start April 8 at 10 am. 

The festival will be adhere to all provincial COVID-19 public-health guidelines as they are released.
