Time Will Tell Arts Society and the Indian Summer Festival are pleased to present a mesmerizing night of South Indian Carnatic music by renowned flutist Raman Kalyan, along with multi-talented world-jazz ensemble The Offering of Curtis Andrews on May 5 at 8 pm at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island.

The concert marks the first time Kalyan will perform solo in Vancouver on the Indian bamboo flute, creating a fusion of ancient and contemporary sounds with The Offering of Curtis Andrews that will transport the audience to a different world.

Kalyan is one of the leading flutists in Carnatic music. His most recent album, Music for Deep Meditation, reached the number one spot on the Apple iTunes world music charts and remained in the top 50 albums for over six months.

The Offering of Curtis Andrews features Andrews, a versatile percussionist, composer, and ethnomusicologist; vocalist-composer Shruti Ramani; guitarist-composer Jared Burrows; and percussionist Robin Layne.
