The Vancouver Cantata Singers invites audiences to come unwind at its first concert of the 2024-25 season, aptly titled Rest, at the Christ Church Cathedral on October 26 at 7:30 pm.
As part of a season that follows the theme JOURNEY, this concert will see the Vancouver Cantata Singers explore music that contemplates rest in all its forms.
The company will be joined by guest Lil’wat singer-composer Russell Wallace as it premieres newly commissioned choral arrangements of Wallace’s song “Journey” and his mother Flora Wallace’s piece “Lil’wat Lullaby”. The program will also feature works by Ramona Luengen, Tamsin Jones, J.S. Bach, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Zoltán Kodály, and Gabriel Fauré.
Ticket subscription packages for the 2024-25 season are now on sale, and include priority seating for the ever-popular Christmas Reprise concert on December 21 at the Holy Rosary Cathedral.
