Cascade Peaks ChamberFest
Cascade Peaks ChamberFest (CPCF) expands the scope of the programs offered by Langley Community Music School to present a world-class chamber music Festival of the highest quality.
Cascade Peaks ChamberFest serves two primary purposes: as an Academy where both pre-professional chamber music musicians and community artists come to study and learn for a week from world-renowned guest faculty artists, anchored by the Borealis String Quartet; and secondly as a Concert Festival series where guest artist faculty and Academy participants deliver outstanding performances to audiences over the course of a three-day weekend. All Academy and Festival events are situated in the beautiful natural surroundings of RockRidge Canyon, located on the outskirts of Princeton BC, which features an acoustically sensitive, 350-seat performance hall - a stimulating setting for musical collaboration, intensive learning, and high-level performance.
Cascade Peaks ChamberFest is a convergence of connection with experience and development culminating in exceptional, world-class performance. Highlighting the artistry of young emerging artists with internationally renowned faculty, Cascade Peaks provides the experiences that connect musicians together to share collective understanding and knowledge passing from one generation to the next. In addition to private instruction, Academy participants are also provided with masterclasses and lectures. As audience members, Festival pass holders are encouraged to audit these educational activities, in addition to admission to all concerts and recitals.
A short three-hour drive from either the Lower Mainland or the Okanagan, RockRidge Canyon resort nestles in a breathtaking valley on the shores of Lorne Lake. Guests have a variety of options for accommodations, including the well-appointed Wolfe Creek Lodge, an RV vehicle park, or camping by the shores of the lake. There are also numerous accommodation options in the town of Princeton itself.
Cascade Peaks ChamberFest creates an inspirational atmosphere that combines exceptional musical experiences with a location rich in natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
Langley Community Music School strives to foster an inclusive environment in which everyone can feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued and can fully participate in LCMS’s opportunities regardless of gender, age, sex, race, class, religion, ethnicity, ability, language, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
