Arts Umbrella’s half-day Professional Training Program in Musical Theatre Performance supports those training as a “triple-threat”, providing intensive instruction, professional coaching and mentorship, and performance opportunities throughout the year for students in grades 8 to 12+.

Students receive up to 25 hours a week of professional teaching and guest artist instruction in voice and speech, singing, musicianship, acting techniques, and dance, building the tools to prepare both mentally and physically for the demands of a career in the performing arts.

With more options than ever to support independent learning, students successfully combine academics with their high-level professional training, including through a number of local secondary schools, home schooling, and distributed learning.

Entry to the program is by audition. Auditions for the 2023/24 cohort will be held at Arts Umbrella Granville Island on January 28, April 15, and June 18, 2023. Advance registration is required.
