Hamilton, Jesus Christ Superstar headed to Vancouver
Broadway Across Canada announces the return of Broadway shows to the QE Theatre starting in January 2022
IF THE PANDEMIC thwarted your travel plans to see Hamilton, the mega-hit musical is soon coming to you: Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking performance will run at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from May 24 to June 19, 2022.
It’s part of Broadway Across Canada’s just-announced forthcoming season, which kicks off with Anastasia from Jan 18 to 23, 2022.
Also slated for next year are Come From Away (August 16 to 28, 2022) and Jesus Christ Superstar, which will see a new production for its 50th anniversary, running November 15 to 20, 2022.
The Broadway Across Canada season subscription packages are all already sold out, but individual tickets for all shows will be available closer to the show dates.
“We’re greatly optimistic about the return of Broadway to the city of Vancouver and thrilled to share the news that shows previously announced for the 2020/2021 season have been successfully rescheduled at this time,” Shana Levin, vice president of Broadway Across Canada, said in a release. “We are thankful to our patrons for their patience, flexibility and love of Broadway which has been an incredible support and inspiration during this extended intermission.”
Broadway Across Canada will be releasing details about the health and safely plan as the new year draws nearer, working collaboratively with Queen Elizabeth Theatre and provincial and local government officials.
