Take a virtual journey through Crafting a Difference at London's gorgeous SoShiro Gallery, April 30 at Crafted Vancouver
The landmark exhibition brings together top-flight work from five U.K. galleries
Crafted Vancouver streams Part 2 of Crafting a Difference Talk & Tour at SoShiro Gallery on April 30 from 10 to 11 am
WHILE YOU CAN’T travel to the galleries of London, England, right now, the Crafted festival is going to bring them to you—virtually, of course.
You can still tune in to the second of the free, two-part talk on April 30, as curator Brian Kennedy talks about his landmark exhibit Crafting a Difference. A collaboration between five of the British capital’s top galleries, it boasts a curated selection of more than 200 works in ceramic, glass, metal, paper, textile, plastic, and wood by more than 70 artists. They’re represented by galleries Cavaliero Finn, jaggedart, MADEINBRITALY, Ting-Ying Gallery, and Vessel Gallery.
Best of all, they’re exhibited across four floors of SoShiro, a gorgeous Georgian townhouse in chic Marylebone—and Kennedy will walk you through it, with stops to talk about the show’s most fascinating pieces.
Moderator Isabelle Fish of Rue Pigalle moderates as they discuss the collectors’ market for contemporary craft, the way that galleries in London have come together to help each other during COVID shutdowns, and a roadmap to how we will explore, experience, and invest in art in a new world.
