Got Craft? Spring Pop-Up Virtual Market features more than 75 makers to May 2
You’re not going to find these hand-stamped spoons and ceramic wall hangings at the mall
Got Craft? Virtual Market Spring Pop-Up runs until May 2
JUST AS springtime marks the arrival of cherry blossoms and rain showers in Vancouver, usually the season signals the return of markets featuring makers who have been busily creating all winter long.
Pandemic times, of course, mean we can’t stand shoulder-to-shoulder perusing vegan soaps and indigo-dyed totes. So Got Craft? is back virtually this season—with more than 75 artists showing everything from astronaut-themed iron-on patches to retro-chic ceramic wall hangings.
Where else are you going to find hand-stamped antique silver spoons that say “Cereal Killer” or forks that say “Fork COVID”—let alone the Betty White Prayer Candles?
And you’re not going to find artisan chocolates, jams, and chutneys like this at the local supermarket.
But perhaps the most timely new offering at the beloved maker’s market? Masks of course, bedecked in everything from butterflies to lemons and even walruses, with all funds donated to a worthy cause, care of Demo Derby.
