You’ve seen courtroom dramas unfold nonscreen; now, here’s one for the stage. Mairy Beam based Irreparable Harm on real transcripts from the BC Supreme Court arguments for and against activists protesting the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.
You’ll get to meet multiple activists, both Indigenous and settler, trying to defend our land and water, and get a rare insight into what that battle entailed in the courtroom.
The play is one of the socially-distanced productions kicking off the Vancouver Fringe Festival’s third fall mini-festival.
Among the questions: can protesters do “irreparable harm” to a corporation?
