Monsoon Music Night takes place August 15 at 5 pm PDT online.

MONSOON FESTIVAL OF PERFORMING ARTS brings together the percussive sounds of India, Africa, Japan, and Cuba during Monsoon Music Night.

Performing during the streaming program are Des Raj and Jaswinder Raj, a father-and-son folk-music duo; singer-dhol player Rana Dholi; the West African-inspired Kunda Culture; taiko-drumming group Uzume Taiko; and traditional Afro-Cuban percussionist, vocalist, and educator Israel “Toto” Berriel & Friends.

Together, they form an ensemble that has been performing together for more than a decade at festivals and events; many took part in the team welcome ceremonies during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Admission is free or by donation.
