Tickets on sale for The Mavericks, who hit Vancouver with Los Lobos on October 1
Both bands move adventurously between country, rock, and multiple Latin styles
TEX-MEX, COUNTRY, Latin, and rockabilly will weave together when hit Miami-based roots band The Mavericks hit the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on October 1.
Special guests for the just-announced concert are Los Lobos, the L.A.-bred band whose rock hybrid sound crosses into blues, surf, mariachi, country, and folk.
Tickets have just gone on sale.
Founded more than 25 years ago by Raul Malo and drummer Paul Deakin, The Mavericks are known for their stage chemistry and live show. Some of their most recent albums include 2013’s In Time and 2015’s Mono, with their latest outing 2020’s all-Spanish En Español. Their biggest hits over the decade include “Born to Be Blue", "What a Crying Shame", "All That Heaven Will Allow", and "Dance the Night Away".
Los Lobos is perhaps best known for the movie La Bamba, but their album Kiko in 1992 paved the way for the band becoming one of the most adventurous roots acts in America.
You can find tickets at Ticketmaster.
