BC Culture Days presents Co.ERASGA’s Together/Apart online for free or by donation to October 9.
VANCOUVER DANCER-CHOREOGRAPHER Alvin Erasga Tolentino, founder of Co.ERASGA, celebrates the resilience of independent dance artists amid the pandemic in Together/Apart, an online project that’s part of BC Culture Days.
Together/Apart features a collection of duets. Digital experimentation is central to the project as dancers the world over have had to pivot from the stage to the screen—keeping dance performance alive in tough times through technology.
A Filipino-Canadian artist, Tolentino addresses themes of individuality, cultural identity, gender, global awareness, isolation, creativity and ethnicity in his cross-cultural, multimedia body of work.
