Vines Art Society honours six years of collective work with Land Back Rewind, April 19 to 29

Vines Art Society presents Land Back Rewind, a living exhibition of the collective work and weavings from artists connected to Vines Rooted Relations over the past six years, from April 19 to 29 at the Vines Den. Opening night on April 19 at 7 pm features karaoke, storytelling, and music.

Land Back Rewind archives and highlights the many talents and teachings of Indigenous artists, from ethnobotany to reoccupying sovereign lands. The exhibition centres the voices of Coast Salish and Salish land protectors who continue to rise for humanity and sovereignty.

Artists and speakers include Alicia Williams, Audrey Siegl, Badger Jack, Billie Pierre, Cease Wyss, Chrissy Brett (in memoriam), Christine Jack, Dragonfly Pierre, Gwi’mo’las, jaye simpson, jaz whitford, Jolene Andrew, Kat Norris (in memoriam), Keenan Marchand, Kwiis Hamilton, Kwitsel Tatel, Laura Holland, Manuel Axel Strain, Mary Point, Mechelle Pierre, Miranda Dick, Morgan Asoyuf, Nova Wolf, Sei^^slom, Senaqwila Wyss, Seren Clark, Siiam Hamilton, Soloman Chiniquay, Sunkosi Galay-Tamang, TJ Felix, Valen Onstine, Whess Harman, and more.
