EH! COMEDY TOUR is about to launch all across the country before heading to this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The Canada Day showcase in Vancouver features Andrea Jin, winner of the 2022 Juno award for Best Comedy Album for Grandma's Girl. Born in Shanghai, the locally based artist was recently selected as New Face at Just for Laugh’s Montreal Festival and has performed at JFL Northwest, SiriusXM’s Top Comic, Seattle International Comedy Competition, CBC’s The Debaters, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
Joining Jin are Sean McDonnell, whose 2019 album, All In My Head, went #1 on iTunes; and Jacob Balshin, who was recently featured on season two of CBC's New Wave of Stand Up.
Found by comedians Andrew Packer and Jacob Balshin, the Eh! Comedy Tour also features shows in St. John’s, Toronto, Cambridge, and Loretto.
“The comedians selected for EH! Comedy Tour have all been recognized by their peers as having a rare blend of undeniable talent and strong work ethic,” Packer says in a release. “We truly believe each comedian we feature is on route to earning their spot on the global stage and our mission is to help them along on their journey.”
Following the Canada Day launch, EH! Comedy Tour travels to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August for a blend of stand-up and musical comedy with an emphasis on improvised crowd interaction.
