Les Égarés merges musically aligned duos into a quartet at BlueShore at CapU, March 31
Encompassing jazz, tango, chamber, and avant-garde influences, the group’s sound is a treat for the ears

Les Égarés.
Two acclaimed instrumental duos will merge into one symbiotic quartet when Sissoko/Ségal/Parisien/Peirani: Les Égarés takes the stage at BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts at Capilano University on March 31 at 7:30 pm.
Malian kora player Ballaké Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Ségal are long-time collaborators with several compelling projects to their credit. Saxophonist Émile Parisien and accordionist Vincent Peirani, both of France, have a similar history as a duo and within larger ensembles.
All are players of the highest order with a complementary musicality that allows them to converse in exciting ways. Their acclaimed album Les Égarés (French for The Wandering) mixes various genres of music from Armenia, Transylvania, and Turkey, along with Coltrane-inspired jazz, tango, and African music—all enlivened with lyrical kora hooks, nimble accordion post-bop, and haunting cello harmonies.
An evening of sublime music awaits. Tickets are available through BlueShore at CapU.
