Khatsahlano Street Party announces lineup for 2023, with more than 60 musical acts

The West 4th Avenue festival features food trucks, beer gardens, shopping, and artists like Yukon Blonde, Pink Mountaintops, and Desireé Dawson

KHATSALANO STREET PARTY is back for its 11th year, taking place on Saturday, July 8 from 11 am to 9 pm.

Stretching out along West 4th Avenue over 10 blocks between Burrard and MacDonald streets with multiple stages, the full-on outdoor festival features music, food, drink, and shopping.

Vancouver’s own indie rock darlings Yukon Blonde will be rocking the Burrard Stage, presented by TD and Stir. Other Burrard Stage highlights include singer-songwriter-producer Louise Burns as well as contemporary alt-pop band Daysormay.

Over on the the MacDonald Stage are Pink Mountaintops, Skye Wallace, TikTok sensation Noble Son, and Juno award-winner Desireé Dawson, among others.

Here’s who else is on the lineup: Sadé Awele, Noble Oak, Winona Forever, David Vertesi, Tariq Ché, Aimee Dorval, Non Sweet, Corsage, Bratboy, Dawson Gool, The Broken Islands, Daksh Kubba, Cam Blake, Viiberson, Fka Rayne, saltspringunderground, Wallgrin, Des Hume, Surf Hat, Cold Fame, Only a Visitor, Cara Bateman, Mi'ens, Sylvie Cox, Hip Hop Mecanix, Riun Garner, Laus, Elliot C Way & The Band of Beauties, Norine Braun, Katie Brock, Terence Wang, Wack, Adam Mah, Coastal Drifters, Charlie PS, Haleluya Hailu, Grade School, Ashley Pater, Silent St. J, William Chernoff Trio, Littlefox, Pinebarren, Badmny, SoM Band Ensemble, Terence Wang, School of Rock Junior House Band, and Yogabuttons.

Khats Kids at Trafalgar Street caters to little music lovers, with performances by children’s entertainers such as Mom Bop and Matt Henry. Supporting talents of all ages, the School of Rock Junior House Band will be taking the stage with the Muevete Marimba Ensemble and Somba performances.

Zulu Records, a West 4th icon, has curated a playlist for the day that’s available on Spotify.

 
 

Presented by the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Association—which represents some 150 ventures that call the neighbourhood home—the fest will have no less than four Phillip’s Beer Gardens set up as well as the Olé Garden, which will be serving up cool craft cocktails made from natural ingredients. The t Garden will have sweet treats while the new Tacofino Garden will be slinging fresh margaritas and tacos. What’s more, there will be more than 50 food trucks on-site, upping the options when added to the existing West 4th Ave food ventures.

Those keen on snapping selfies will be able to do so at any number of ribbon installations; they have a chance of receiving a limited edition temporary tattoo at one of the KHATS Tats Stations through the #EARNYOURSTRIPES project.
