Anvil Theatre presents the multi-award-winning singer and songwriter Alex Cuba live in concert on April 26 at 7:30 pm.

Cuba’s songs are compelling exchanges that effortlessly groove through soul, funk, jazz, and pop styles. His sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks, and powerful guitar riffs have garnered him over 20 awards and nominations, including four Latin Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and a Grammy Award, plus three Grammy Award nominations.

Drawing on traditional and global influences, Cuba uses his knowledge of guitar and bass to create articulate, emotional tracks. The independent artist—who was born in Artemisa, Cuba and now lives in Smithers, B.C.—has released nine albums to date. Much of his music has evolved from his commitment to searching for simplicity and soul in Cuban songs by taking apart their complex arrangements and mixing them with North American influences.

Tickets and more details are available through the Anvil Theatre.
