Vancouver Poetry House presents Stage to Page: The Music Edition as part of Verses Festival of Words on April 24 from 2 to 5 pm at Vancity Culture Lab at The Cultch
IT’S A MUST-ATTEND open workshop for anyone interested in the intersection of music, sound art, and poetry: Vancouver Poetry House is partnering with Stage to Page Performance Society to bring Stage to Page: The Music Edition to Verses Festival of Words 2022.
The special public masterclass features C.R. Avery, Kimmortal, Chelsea D.E. Johnson, Krystal Kiran, Veda Hille, and Jaymee Mak as panelists. They will share insights into their work and the interdisciplinary realm of music and poetry.
Members of the public are invited to observe as selected poets have their work performed by theatre artists then workshopped with music and sound by the panelists; they will then have an opportunity to perform it themselves.
Hosted by playwright and spoken-word artist Johnny D Trinh, the event closes with a Q&A and an open jam session.
Stage to Page Performance Society produces public masterclasses/workshops led by a panel of industry professionals featuring poets, producers, theatremakers, and more.
More information is at Vancouver Poetry House.
