Concert to feature pianist Jane Coop and violinist Joan Blackman with VSO principal musicians Hung-Wei Huang and Henry Shapard

Vetta Chamber Music presents French Connections, the organization’s first concert of 2025, from January 24 to 27 at various venues.
Pianist Jane Coop and violinist Joan Blackman will be joined by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s principal violist Hung-Wei Huang and principal cellist Henry Shapard for a program designed to create connection through the elegance of musical parlance. Audiences will be treated to Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478; Fauré’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 15; and String Trio in C major by French neoclassical composer Jean Françaix.
Performances will take place at West Point Grey United Church on January 24 at 2 pm, Kay Meek Arts Centre on January 25 at 7:30 pm, Pyatt Hall on January 26 at 2 pm, and ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island on January 27 at 2:30 pm.
