PROLIFIC CANADIAN COMEDIAN, actor, screenwriter and—of late—psychological-thriller bestselling author Brent Butt hits the Kay Meek Arts Centre’s Grosvenor Theatre with a standup show this weekend—and tickets are going fast.

The star of Corner Gas has become a multitasking force on the Canadian entertainment scene over several decades, with his latest accomplishment the #1 National Bestselling book HUGE—a novel that, though set in the comedy world, surprised fans for its dark and chilling turns. Set in the 1990s, HUGE follows three standup comedians who hit the road on tour in the wilds of small-town Canada when things go terribly wrong—and deadly.

But the show here takes the Saskatchewan-born, Vancouver-based artist back to his standup roots. In true form, he’ll be killing it in an entirely different way.

Opening for him is another rising multi-hyphenate star: comedian, cartoonist, and writer Jacob Samuel takes the mike. You know him from everything from CBC’s “The Debaters” to stnts on the Comedy Network. His 2020 Horse Power won a Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year.
