Richmond Night Market returns for 2021, celebrates 20 years
The largest night market in North America will run weekends till fall starting July 23
SUMMER 2021 MEANS the Richmond Night Market is back after a pandemic pause, running weekends from July 23 to September 6.
It’s a big year for the largest night market in North America as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
This season will unfold differently than in the past, with the market running at reduced capacity. As health guidelines allow, more vendors and visitors will be added throughout the summer.
Still, hundreds of dishes at the International Food Fair will be on offer, such as ramen, rainbow toast, clam rice noodle, chicken waffles, tonkatsu, lechon tacos, Japanese poutine, “tornado” potatoes, Brazilian pastries, deep-fried squid, dim sum, hot pot, terikayi, sushi, spareribs, roti, BBQ, fries, bubble tea, and much more. There’s also shopping and live entertainment.
The market at the corner of Number 3 Road and River Road is one block from the Bridgeport Canada Line Station and next to the River Rock Casino. It will be open every Friday and Saturday, as well as Sundays preceding statutory holidays, from 6 pm to midnight PDT.
Founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Raymond Cheung, the Richmond Night Market attracted more than 1 million visitors per year pre-pandemic.
