Metro Theatre presents Cinderella! A Traditional British Pantomime from December 13 to January 5

METRO THEATRE HAS been mounting holiday pantomimes for nearly four decades to delighted audiences. The tradition will soon mark its 39th year with Cinderella! A Traditional British Pantomime from December 13 to January 5.

The production is co-written by Shel Piercy and Jo Sears and directed by Piercy, with choreography by Shelley Stewart Hunt (who recently choreographed Die Fledermaus at Vancouver Opera) and music direction by Arielle Ballance. Cinderella! shows why pantomime is such a popular artform in the U.K., complete with laugh-out-loud moments and audience engagement; then there’s Metro Theatre’s iconic take on the “12 Days of Christmas”.

The holiday pantomime was first introduced to the Metro Theatre in 1985 with Babes in the Magic Wood. Cinderella! mixes dance and music with whimsical storytelling in a Christmas event for all ages.
