West Vancouver Art Museum announces Pantea Haghighi as new administrator-curator⁠

The West Vancouver resident is also curator in residence at Vancouver Art Gallery

THE WEST VANCOUVER Art Museum has a new administrator/curator. Pantea Haghighi will take on the dual role after having been involved with the cultural venue for the past 10 years.

A West Vancouver resident, ⁠Haghighi has expertise in contemporary art and extensive fundraising experience. She was a guest curator for the West Vancouver Art Museum exhibitions Gohar Dashti: Dissonance in 2020 and Sanaz Mazinani: Mirrored Explosions in 2016. She is a doctoral student at Simon Fraser University and curator in residence at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Her research focuses on modernism in architecture and visual arts in relation to vernacular politics. ⁠

According to a statement by the museum, Haghighi uses her experience collaborating with people from various cultural backgrounds to bring communities together, creating spaces that encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas.
