Dine Out Vancouver Festival returns for 2024, January 17 to February 4
Bookings are now open for close to 400 restaurants, the biggest turnout to date
Dine Out Vancouver Festival takes place January 17 to February 4 at various venues
THE POST-HOLIDAY SEASON used to be deadsville for restaurants, but Dine Out Vancouver Festival changed that. Canada’s largest celebration of food and drink is back for 2024 with more than 380 venues, the largest turnout to date.
The fest offers three fixed-price menu ranges: $20 to $34, $35 to $49, and $50 to $65, whether for brunch, lunch, or dinner seatings, with some restaurants offering vegetarian, gluten-free, and take-out menus.
Then there are special events, like the flagship Vancouver World Chef Exchange. Now in its eighth year, the dinners see Michelin-recognized chefs collaborating with local Michelin-ranked restaurants. This year’s roster features chefs from London, Bristol, Ho Chi Minh City, and Oakland, while the Vancouver participating venues include The Acorn, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar, Bacaro, and Burdock & Co.
Over at the Vancouver Art Gallery, 1931 Gallery Bistro is hosting the Art Dinner Series. Guests will be served an elevated five-course prix-fixe menu with optional wine pairings on Thursday evenings from January 18 to February 8. Plus, they will have full self-directed exhibition access to the Vancouver Art Gallery from 4 to 8 pm and a guided tour at 6 pm of the fourth-floor exhibition Emily Carr—A Room of Her Own. (The restaurant also has a regular Dine Out menu available other evenings.)
Street Food City 12 is the annual food-truck festival within the festival, which takes place outside of Vancouver Art Gallery’s šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square daily.
Other events include the East Van Dumpling Fest Crawl, Gelato 101, Chinatown: Dim Sum Discovery, Pie in the Sky: Pizza & Beers Tour, Vancouver Aquarium Dine Out Vancouver Pop-Up, and winery dinners like Hester Creek Dinner at Hart House, among many others.
Bookings are now available at dineoutvancouver.com, where users can search for specific restaurants or by cuisine, price range, or neighbourhood.
